🌾 #JobHuntMondays| Agriculture. Market systems. Climate finance. Three connected challenges, and one role to lead them.
VisionFund International, World Vision's microfinance arm, is hiring for an Agriculture, Market Systems and Climate Finance Senior Advisor.
🌍 What VisionFund is doing: VisionFund is providing loans, savings and insurance to vulnerable families and small businesses. 💼 In this role, you'd:
🧭 Act as VisionFund's technical lead and go-to expert on agriculture, market systems and climate finance
🌱 Lead the internal Climate Financing working group and advise on best practice across the network
✍️ Shape grant applications and position VisionFund with agriculture and climate-focused donors
📊 Lead reporting, learning and evidence-sharing on agricultural and climate finance
🤝 Represent VisionFund in technical forums and with partners
📋 Strong fit if you have:
✅ Around 10 years of experience in agricultural, climate or market systems finance, preferably in Africa
✅ Experience financing value chains or agricultural cooperatives
✅ A track record working with NGOs, agricultural partners and market actors
✅ Strong English; French or Spanish is a plus
💚 IMVELO Impact: Farmers can't adapt to climate change without access to finance. Every loan that helps a smallholder buy drought-tolerant seed or join a stronger value chain is climate resilience in action. This role decides how that money is designed, raised and delivered.
