💰 #FUNDINGWEDNESDAYS | What happens when a good idea is ready to become something bigger? 🌱
🎯Africa has no shortage of innovative ideas. But an idea can only go so far without the resources to test it, understand whether it works and take it to more people.
Introducing the Fund for Innovation in Development (FID). FID supports innovative solutions tackling poverty and inequality in low- and middle-income countries—and its funding grows with the maturity of the idea. From preparing a pilot to testing an innovation, measuring its impact and scaling solutions that have demonstrated results. 🌍💡
💰 Funding can reach:
🔹 Up to €50,000 for preparation
🔹 Up to €200,000 for pilot projects
🔹 Up to €1.5 million for impact evaluation
🔹 Up to €4 million for scaling proven innovations
The fund’s priority areas include climate, health, education and gender equality, while innovative solutions across other development sectors can also be considered.
🎯Applications are open year-round.
💚 IMVELO Impact: Innovation is not only about having a great idea. It is about testing what works, building evidence and creating pathways for solutions to reach more people. That is how ideas can move from promising experiments to real change—and contribute to a stronger green economy.
