🌍 What Halcyon is looking for: Founders building for smallholder farmers and the communities around them, with a special interest in innovations that help farms and food systems prepare for, withstand and adapt to climate shocks. Sectors include climate-smart agriculture, irrigation and drought resilience, digital extension and climate data, market access platforms, agri-fintech, cold chain, post-harvest loss reduction and traceability.
💼 What you get:
💰 A $10,000 equity-free stipend per venture
☁️ $10,000 in AWS credits
🧭 Professional advisors, plus workshops on leadership, capital strategy and product-market fit
🤝 Introductions to investors and access to Halcyon's global community of 650+ founders
🌍 Residencies in Accra (11–19 March 2027) and Nairobi (28 May–4 June 2027)
📋 Strong fit if you:
✅ Are based in Sub-Saharan Africa and working full-time on your venture
✅ Have a working product and paid pilots, revenue or customer contracts to show for it
✅ Can show early impact on smallholder farmers, low-income communities or food systems
✅ Are the CEO or main decision-maker (you can apply with one co-founder), at least 21, and fluent in English
⚠️ Please note: Applications run in two stages. Submit the short eligibility form by 23 October, and shortlisted ventures are invited to a full application due 30 October.
💚 IMVELO Impact: The next wave of climate resilience in African farming may not come from one big programme. It could come from hundreds of small ventures, each fixing one broken link, whether that's a cold room, an irrigation pump or a price signal. Backing those founders early is how resilience scales.
📍 Location: Open across Sub-Saharan Africa (residencies in Ghana and Kenya)
⏳ Programme duration: February–June 2027
⏰ Deadline: 23 October 2026
