🎓 #STUDYTUESDAYS | What if your next research opportunity could shape the scientist you become?
🤔For early-career researchers, the journey from PhD to an independent research career can be one of the biggest transitions in academia.
The Royal Society Career Development Fellowship 2027 is designed to support that transition, offering eligible early-career researchers a four-year postdoctoral fellowship in the UK, with up to £703,800 in research funding, alongside mentoring, training and networking. 🔬🌍
The current pilot is focused on researchers from Black heritage backgrounds, including Black African, Black Caribbean and other Black heritage backgrounds. International researchers can also be eligible, provided they meet the programme’s UK connection requirements.
For researchers working at the intersection of science, technology and sustainability, that can mean building expertise that contributes to the technologies and knowledge shaping tomorrow’s green economy. 🌱
💚 IMVELO Impact: Africa’s green economy will need more than opportunities today. It will need scientists, engineers and researchers building the knowledge, technologies and expertise that shape what comes next.
