🌍 #JobHuntMonday| The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is looking for a senior consultant to help the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) coordinate regional infrastructure, energy, water and ICT projects in Chad.
🌱 Why it matters: As a landlocked Sahelian country, Chad depends on cross-border corridors, shared water resources, secure energy and digital links. This role helps turn national and regional priorities into well-prepared projects that partners can finance, with climate resilience built into how they're prioritised.
💼 In this consultancy, you'd:
🤝 Set up a coordination system linking Chadian ministries with ECCAS and AUDA-NEPAD
📊 Build a project portfolio across infrastructure, energy, water and ICT, and rank projects by regional impact, readiness and climate resilience
⚡ Coordinate regional energy interconnections and access
💧 Coordinate shared water resources and basins, including resilience to droughts and floods
📑 Prepare concept notes and project files for development partners
🎓 Train national and ECCAS teams in portfolio management
📋 Strong fit if you have:
✅ An engineering degree or master's in civil, rural, hydraulic or infrastructure engineering, plus a project management qualification
✅ 15+ years planning or managing infrastructure, energy, water or ICT projects
✅ 5+ years coordinating multi-ministry or regional programmes
✅ Experience in at least two of the four sectors
✅ Excellent French and good English (Arabic is a plus)
⭐ Knowledge of Chad, Central Africa or ECCAS is a significant asset
